When I talk about the history of Breakneck, I'm really talking about how long I've been breathing. Back in the playground days of 4th or 5th grade, a few friends and me decided to start our own comics "company." I really enjoyed drawing back then, heck, I always have. It was called HEMPS, after the first letter of all of our last names. Later, after a couple guys dropped out, I changed it to Breakneck.
Breakneck is now kind of the company name in my head. Not long after I started drawing comics, I got a SNES for Christmas and started drawing out what I thought would make good video games (it was mostly the next Super Mario sequel). Mario RPG was my link to how much better RPG were than your average Nintendo game and I started focusing my games (still scribbles and sketches on sheets of paper) towards that area.
I started Ex Post Facto, first as a RPG, then as a comic. I was surfing during a web design class and found the TK. So there went the whole comic idea; EPF was now going to be a true computer game, not just in my mind and on paper. By that time, I already had the characters and story pretty firmly planted, so I jumped right into programming and graphics. I haven?t looked back since...
